I do know that for personal use, Bryce 7 is free to use. I would say get the free Bryce, open up whatever model you like that's in the Bryce format, and export to OBJ? What better way to convert something than the original program :o)I recently installed Bryce to make landscapes and stuff for some images, and actually used it to make the lava pool in a pic.
Now for keeping textures, I'm not so sure, you may havfta enter the Material room and plug those in manually.
