Quote - I moved some files out of a Runtime into another yet Poser 8's library still shows the files in the original Runtime with 0 files in it. I've checked the Runtime and the files aren't there anymore and I even deleted the Runtime and re added it, but the files still show up. How do you get rid of them so they go away?

I might be able to help, but I can't decode what you're saying here.

"library still shows files .. with 0 files in it"

That is an impossible sentence to parse. Do you mean library still shows folder(s) with 0 files in it? Or do you mean library still shows the original runtime root?

If you mean it still shows the original runtime root folder or other folders, within which the files used to be, but now it shows the files are gone, but the folders are still there, isn't that exactly what you did? Didn't you leave the folders with no files in them? Did you remove that empty runtime by using the "Remove Library" button? To do so  you must first ask the library to just show that one runtime and then the "Remove Library" button will appear.

If that's not the problem, please explain exactly the full paths of the files and folders you manipulated using File Explorer, and also the full paths that the library is showing you in the tree. You can find out the true full path the Poser library is showing you by several means. However, if you have disabled them, then you have to enable them to learn the full path.

One way to know the path is to have the library option enabled for "Show Paths" as hover tips, then hover the mouse over one of the folders in the tree, and it will show a tool tip with the full path.

Another way to know the path is to have the library option enabled to show the details panel at the bottom, and then select a folder or file in the tree or list. (If you have the list visible, which you may not.) Whatever is selected, the full path is shown in the details panel, along with when the item was created and when it was last modified.

Once you know the full path of what the library is showing, and you also know the full path of what you manipulated via file manager, then you should be able to tell us how reality differs from what you thought, if that's the case. Then we can sort it out.

Because UAC can make folders appear to be in places where they don't really exist, and because you didn't tell us how you installed your main runtimes, and you didn't tell us which (main or external) you're talking about here, there are too many unknowns to give a useful answer.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
