A jolly good question indeed.  I dont remember how P8 displays morphs PPro2010 has a handy feature where it shows you the total strength of the morph on the body part.

I dont own the item myself so it's hard for me to explain.

If I can find a buddy who has a copt of Salome I can have a look at it with them to see if I can spot the issue.
