Thanks for the plug, Mike. :) WTB, one of the best tips that could be offered right upfront is about camera position. When you open a New scene, select the camera and move to the position controls (upper right panel). Then set the "Roll" to 180 degrees. The camera will now be pointing due North, and you will find it easier to set up your scene this way. You can, of course, reposition the camera again at any time to wherever you'd like. :)
