ok. lets clarify what is happening
for communications, a protocol called TCP/IP is used. now, simply, this is used on 3 levels - internally never leaving your PC, your home network never leaving your house and for the internet.
most Firewalls do not tell the User which level the request is being sent on.
for the Library and to render, Poser is requesting internally only. no network or internet connection is required. at all. just internal access.
On start up, Poser will request access to the network to check for other running copies of poser with the same serial number. not the internet.
to use the CP tab or if you leave "Check for update" ticked, then you will requiring an internet connection, but only then.
I hope this clarifies what happens.
Airport security is a burden we must all shoulder. Do your part, and please grope yourself in advance.
