At Content Paradise there are various career outfits for G2 characters. They convert well to others with Wardrobe Wizard.

There is also a retro nurse uniform at Poserworld, as well as nurse uniforms for male characters.

I believe Zincster has a nurse uniform as well, albeit with a rather short skirt.

some of these may be useful with slight modification, and all of them are easily found at Daz3D:

Most nurses now just wear scrubs, easier to take care of then the classic white uniform.  Hospital green is also not a requirement in most hospitals, I know my (ex) mother-in-law had sets with 'Killer Bunnies', smiley faces and others.  The shoes are usually non-marking white runners any more.

The set at Daz is great as there is a fit for the V4 male which can be fit to other males fairly easily as well.

I already have this set for V4.Your idea is very good and smart but i need some more advice. What are you talking about.Which parts should i use and probably convert (change the colour) to create the nurse outfit.I have both and the doctor outfit and the scrubs outfit (green pants and trouser).Which part should i use?????

Thanks

Honestly, nurses don't wear skirts anymore, or trousers.  If you are going for a retro look yes, modern though, just the scrubs retextured to suit what you want for your scene.  There were some free textures for it on sharecg at one point.

Nursing 'uniforms' are usually just scrubs, white running shoes and their ID now.  Possibly a stethoscope around their neck for when they have to check vitals.

Nurses generally rush and run more than doctors, being as they are the ones constantly there for the patients on a ward, so it is practical and easy to move in clothing.

Ummm, yeah some of them still wear skirts, and quite a few wear trousers, at least at the three local hospitals here. Been in them enough this year alone to know firsthand.

On the Doctors outfit just change the skirt to white. Which set you use depends on the look you want for your nurses. I'd say use the scrubs for you OR amd ER nurses and nursing asistants, and a more formal outift for your chief nurses and regular floorwalkers - that's about how it is at the three hospitals here.

I gave you a link to a FREE nurses outfit for Kururu when you asked for a hospital room. Made by the same guy who did the free hospital room. It can be converted to any figure with Wardrobe Wizard.

My wife is a nurse and doesn't own one skirt or some retro white get up. She only wears scrubs as to all the nurses in all the hospitals in my area. The only time she had to wear a white skirt and top with the little nurse's hat was for her gradutation ceremony from nursing school.

I can report the hospital here, it's scrubs all round...

Here, the nurses were fast to lose the whites since they have to maintain their own uniforms.  Maternity, L&D, children's hospital, ER, OR, ICU all have ditched the more 'retro' look in favour of practical.  Sure you still run into the odd 'old school' nurse, but they are fast becoming a vanishing minority, and most are near retirement who are clinging to it or in a clinic where they never have to run.

I have spent more than my fair share of time in the various hospitals in this area.  Scrubs is it, solid colour pants, tops are whatever they want that isn't offensive and is the scrub style, unless they are in ER or OR, then it is hospital green since they are supplied by the hospital for these areas.  As I said, smiley faces and killer bunnies, and the MIL was in a long term/pallative care ward as the senior nurse.  Not as much running there unless someone coded on them during a shift.

Things will vary based on the hospital, nursing association, medical association guidelines in an area, but nurses are generally more practical than doctor's when it comes to clothes at work.  Goodness knows they are the ones doing most of the messy tasks and are usually the first to respond to an emergency on their ward.

V3 scrubs complete with stethoscope over at Poserworld.

KageRyu ( ) posted Sun, 27 February 2011 at 1:16 PM

I never siad all hospitals wear white, but some of them still do. Not all hospitals are the same people. All three of the local hospitals here use a mixture of scrubs and whites.  I also know that The Berkshire Medical Center in New England still uses whites, and even still has the occasional candy striper.

Guys thank you all for your answers. To be more specific.I m making a comic book .A part of it shows a patient girl being in a hospital room and some nurses around her.For those nurses i need an outfit but i don t know how this outfit should be,white, blue or green.

Can you help?

Cariad ( ) posted Sun, 27 February 2011 at 2:28 PM

Most take the green to be surgical scrubs, same with white.  You could do other colours or patterns as well, just that most nurses pants are a solid colour while the top can and often will vary based on their personal choice.

For scrubs it depends on hospital policy or personal choice. In many hospitals each department may wear different scrubs i.e. ICU, ER, surgery, etc. As far as what color you should use it's your world my friend there isn't a standard color of scrubs so anything would do just enjoy creating your art ;)

yup clors vary from hospital to hospital. Some hospitals use green as ER, Blue for other departments, and Pink for pediatrics, but it can vary wildly.  There may be some information floating around.  Also you could contact your hospitals regular office number and they might be willing to answer a few questions (in past I have gotten some useful information through the hospital switchboards and/or public relations office as too surgical codes, various specialised tests and procedure names, various applications of different medications, etc...).  Just don't call the emergeancy number to ask questions like that, they may get quite upset, and in some states it may be a crime.
