Messiah's learning curve is steeper because it does everything Poser does, and more.

Being a pro app used by professional animation studios, it has to be top notch. It's

autorigging system is very good, and the Messiah bible PDF in the Newbie Forum

there, is an excellent resource. But it will still take time to use efficiently. Probably

longer than Poser, again because of the ready-made content that Poser has, and

Messiah doesn't. Worth the effort though since Messiah is lightyears ahead of Poser.
