OK tested and I get similar results. I loaded the scene and hit render without making any alterations.

After I'd rendered, I went into the terrain editor and unclicked the 'zero edged' icon.  What rendered from that looked very similar to the shapes appearing in the first render, but more solid obviously.

Best thing is to raise a support ticket and attach the saved Vue file for them
