SaintFox,

I'm certainly no authority on strokes, but my understanding is that whilst things can get worse in the short term, you often see improvements in the long term. I know Leo must long to get home, but I think he should also make sure he gets all the best care and treatment the hospital can provide, and only come home when staying in hospital is of no further benefit. I know the days in hospital must be a drag, but if it can contribute to a better long term outcome, it must be worth it. My hopes and best wishes to Leo.

As to the reasons for conforming, rather than prop hair, you are quite correct, it is because it allows the hair to bend with the figure. That said, whilst I was working on the hair, I kept saying to myself "There has to be a better way to make hair", and I have a few ideas floating around in my head as to what that better way might be. The basic idea is this, have only the head part of the hair conforming, drive the other joint rotations via ERC. I think this would have two advantages. First, the hair's joint centres would not need to match those of the character, and could be positioned to suit the hair itself. Second, as the hair is not conformed (except for the head), you could make manual adjustments to the joint rotations, rather than having to accept what the what the conforming forces on you. This should allow a better simulation of the effects of gravity, wind, or momentum.

It's just a theory at the moment, but when I get a bit of time, I plan to try it out. Anyone got a hair obj they feel like donating to the experiment?
