Hm, this site has a at the top, a line that says: "8511 artists currently" online, while this site's adult oriented competitor's line says "currently active users: 209". Not that this is a representative data ascertainment, but i would rather say, "A miniscule insignificant minority of poser artists..." instead of "So many poser artists...", but otherwise your statement is right :-)

I have an idea what site you may be referring to, I found it and this one at about the same time.  I looked around it for props and textures, but was put off by a lot of what I saw.  There was more violence and bondage than stuff I'd consider sexy.  I come here for tech support, to learn of new releases and other Poser related software because this seems to be the place for that.  I just assumed that at some point most everyone makes a sexy character or risque scene, whether or not they share them or have an interest in what others are doing.
