Rule of thumb is, If you have the UAC on, put your Poser install outside the Program files folder. If you have the UAC off like I do you can install into the Program Files folder. It depends how comfy you are with switching off the UAC.

 

As hborre says there are two Folders in a 64 bit pc, one for 64 bit programmes [Program Files] and one for 32 bit programmes [Program Files [x86], Poser would go in this one seeing as it's not technically a full 64 bit app in my understanding.

Vue 9 Infinite for example sits in the other one, because it is a full 64 bit app.
