This is what SteveJax was talking about.
Take the transparency image file for the hair and in some type of software, move the bottom edge of the map up. Make sure the overall size of the paper or image is not changed and also make sure the image is black from the bottom of the paper to the new bottom edge of the new map. Save that under a new name and load that file in place of the transparency image loaded for the hair. It will yield something like the render I'll post in a minute. I'd post the new transparency image file but I don't own SOTO's original map. Anyway, you'd probably like to do it to other maps too.
I've had an idea on how to do this with a shader, but it didn't work out. I may start a new thread asking the experts here what I did wrong.
