To everyone: Running this test isn't just for bragging rights on who has the fastest computer. Think of it as a form of maintenance or preventive maintenance if you will.. Running the test gives you a snapshot of your systems performance relative to poser. This is why I recommended running the hardware monitors as well. Maybe your system is running hotter than it should. Or you see similiar systems to yours running the benchmark much faster. Or maybe you run the test a month or two from now and your numbers dont match up to previous runs. It gives you a heads up that somthing might not be right with your system.
Getting a bit anal about things but somthing I do before running any benchmark is to check the taskmanager for what processes are running looking for anything out of the ordinary or things that really dont need to be running.
Before running the tests today on win 7 I had 47 processes running.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
just pee on it and walk away. :-)
