That laptop is really giving you hard times! Good luck for a quick and not too expensive repair! (Besides: I too assume occasional heat issues with that laptop and, as benney does, would always recommend to use a desktop computer for excessive render purposes instead.)

My not to helpful suggestion (i.e. while it is being repaired and as soon as you finished cooking TheBryster's little lambs -- do mine medium please!):

His model seems very robust, even if not being from "Apple". And if you grovel enough, it would cost you only a small symbolic fee of few Dollars per minute. Less than half the costs as Woody gets charged... by Uncle Herby!  ;)
