Do not buy bit-by-bit, the total cost is way larger than get the corresponding bundle in one shot (get a piggy bank to save money, using PLE in the mean time to learn/exercise).
W.r.t. versions, nothing below Complete is really... complete so either get Complete or, if super dedicated, Infinite. B.t.w., Infinite maintenance program is quite nice, I have renewed it a few days ago for just 140 Euros.
