"Cameron" has HyperThreaded dual hex processors and 96GB RAM;  Poser Pro 2010 renders 24 threads with this processor pack.  My personal record for using RAM rendering in Poser is a bit over 48GB, while doing a 5120x1600 pixel dual-monitor desktop background.  Lots of geometry, complex materials, six raytrace bounces.  OS is Win7 Ultimate 64bit.

More threads rendering will use more RAM, but obviously gets the job done in less time,  if you have enough RAM to keep all the cores running at 100% capacity.

RAM adds capacity, rather than speed.  You would only see a noticeable speed increase if your prior setup had been running short on memory and page filing to/from the hard drive.  Many of the scenes which I render on Galadriel and Cameron simply could not be done on any 32bit machine.

*  Galadriel has a core i7 HyperThreaded quad processor, 12GB RAM, Vista Ultimate 64bit.

Poser 12, in feet.

OSes:  Win7Prox64, Win7Ultx64

Silo Pro 2.5.6 64bit, Vue Infinite 2014.7, Genetica 4.0 Studio, UV Mapper Pro, UV Layout Pro, PhotoImpact X3, GIF Animator 5
