Some very interesting thoughs there, especially on how to work with models, something I have yet to do.  Well, other than family shots I mean.

Thank you for the link.

The working with models post raises an issue i have been thinking about since i started trying to move into street photography and have flirted with the idea of using models to get used to shooting people.  The article on the website and lots of comments i see about models in similar fora assumes that a model is female, and more often than not it is about taking pictures of good looking women clothed, semi- or completely naked.  The reasons for that are something to be discussed elsewhere, but i wonder how many people think about using a model as a "subject" as part of the photo (whatever the concept would be), rather than using the model's beauty as a starting point and building the image around it.

I think i'm driving at choosing a model not because they are hot and you think you might get some beautiful shots out of it, but choosing an idea for a photo and then selecting the correct model to enhance that photo - male or female... beautiful or not...

My thought for the day :)

"In every colour, there's the light.
In every stone sleeps a crystal.
Remember the Shaman, when he used to say:
Man is the dream of the Dolphin"
