Sheesh!  These guys can't catch a break.

People have to keep in mind that things like Poser and Anime Studio are not necessities.  Because of this, people are going to put these types of purchases at the very end of their "Things to buy list."

If anything Smith Micro will need to add software that people feel they "have to have."  Visit their product page and tell me how many of their software titles do you feel that you need to have.  They just need to expand their product catalog.
