Mountains in Virginia :). I have, after many MANY years of roaming, found the place the I want to call home for the rest of my days :). I had thought Alaska was it, I TRIED anyway... But the winters were just too harsh for my body & soul. I do miss the Aurora... There is no describing the feeling that comes over you when you witness that magical event first-hand. I also miss the 24/7 daylight in summer as well. I miss the fact that spring there happens very very quickly - if you sit still for a few short hours, you can actually watch the leaves grow bigger on the trees. But I dont miss the bitter cold, the mosquitos, the wildfires, the yellowjackets, and the fear every time I stepped outside that there was a bear ready to set me lol. There's bears here, a bobcat roams the neighborhood, deer are everywhere... But every day, I look across the front yard and see the mountains. Every day I walk the dog in the back yard and look towards the south and see more mountains. It's so picturesque!!! Want to see this area? Look up Hot Springs, VA and the Homestead. I live outside of the actual town, in another tiny hamlet, but less than 5 miles from it. This whole area is rich with history, rich with beauty -even in the middle of winter! Ok, we gotta get going, today we go get our iPhones!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ps, the only drawback here is the limited shopping... Even Covington doesn't have much except a walmart and a few other places lol but it's good... We're saving to buy a house.)
