Although I didn't find the term palops I can easily guess what you mean - please: Do not tell me details.... I have my own idea about the diet you get before a surgery. It's a chance to woo you with "As soon as you had your surgery you will get insert desired food here!" - I remember how they promised ice cream to my son - and how he asked for it a moment after he opened his eyes, just to hear that he has to wait for some more hours. As he was only 5 years old his patience was limited back then and the nurses had a hard time.

I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!
