It's almost required now.
Even Windows Updates are so big it would be areal pain to be on dialup.
I think if you have been using a high speed connection you will be shocked by how slow dialup is even in downloading your e-mail, just pray someone with DSL or Cable doesn't decide to send you photos.
Plus you can save money by using it.
I use Skype for my phone 90% of the time.
I can call anyplace in the US or Canada for $30 a Year!
This probably saves up $20 a month in long distance fees and we save by not having long distance service on our land line, which is I believe $12 a month.
My wife sells and buy stuff on eBay and both saves and makes money. She couldn't upload the photo in any kind of reasonable time on dialup.
She talks to her cousin in Arizona who is 96 several times a week, free!
Anyway I think you will be disappointed if you go back to dialup you won't believe how slow it is.
