To be honest I don't really understand the way they rate this stuff.

My connection is rated at 100 mbps, but that has no relation to what I see when I download files.  That seems dependent on the source more then anything and I don't think I have ever see anything much over 4 mbps in reality.

So I don't really know if you will notice much difference, but for what you are doing I would guess not.

I have downloaded single files as big a 17 Gigabytes, so there are times that I need all the speed I can get. A file that size takes 7 hours or more.
