Agree with you willie. I never go to the most viewed/most commented/highest rated galleries any more because the calibre of images at the tops of these galleries is not worth viewing. It's more of a popularity contest full of mindless comments and meaningless ratings.

Generally I view the what's new gallery and only click on thumbnail images that look promising or an artist that I have viewed in the past and know that their image is worth the time. This practice for the most part leaves out the daily image posters who's images are generally ill conceived, poorly and too guickly executed and just plain boring seen it a million times kind of images.

And woe-to-me if I should happen to view an image posted by a "Comment Club" member and make an honest and fair critique of their image, as other comment club members after me will surely ridicule my words and then make a trip to one of my images and leave nasty comments of their own on my work.
