The issue was not with your script but how it was modeled. I orginally modeled a start middle and end figuring on using your script but when I ran your script I got an error about something wrong with one of the meshes being out of range or something like that.

 

quick question on that Phil do the parts have to be all centered to the same location in the scene or off set?
