If you find a .reg file that will hold all the data you need to register the product in your registry. After you find that file, then you double click it and you will be asked if you want to add that to your registry file, you say yes and most likely your program will work. Example, I had a program, old program that would not install with an installer in Win 7, so I installed it on a XP machine and basically just copied the program right from the old computer, placed it in a directory on the c drive on the new computer, then found the .reg file double clicked it, and added it to my registry and it worked great.
