While I have been buying from Renderosity for some time I have only recently started to upload any of my images and even more recently started to read the forums.  I say that because I am only just beginning to discover some of the trends mentioned here.

One point I do not understand is the comment

"The lack of commentary can probably be explained by the fact that the vast majority of people would like to offer critical commentary on other people's images, while at the same time remaining utterly hostile to receiving any criticism themselves. The first time you get death threats for suggesting that someone turn shadows on in their renders, you give up."

I do not argue with the point but why, if they are going take criticism badly, why do such people not tick only to have favorable comments.

I have never been critical of others work as I do not think my skills are good enough to do so.  I am always pleased when someone takes the time to look and leave a comment yet in the short time I have been uploading I am most pleased by other artists who have commented on how I could improve my images.  It is so rare an occurance that I took the time to email them and thank them for taking the trouble on each occasion.

I have never uploaded a nekkid Vicky, yet I use Vicky a lot.  I have no problem with nekkind Vicky either, it is just that I am trying to say something different with my art.  I will quickly add at this point that I probably fail dismally but that is the intent and any help other artists can give me is greatfully received.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
