If DAZ want to keep making money they have to keep Poser users onside.
If SM want to keep their user base loyal, they need to support DAZ figures.
The commercial logic is inescapable.
If DAZ wanted to sew up the Poser market they'd have bought Poser years ago (instead of, say, Bryce, Carrara, Hexagon etc.).
