Mike, watch some of the DAZ videos on YouTube and at DAZ that explain the new interface. It really isn't that hard. Watch, then try it and the lightbulb will come on. I've heard people for years stymied by this interface or that interface. They really aren't that complex and they are after all designed for noobs with Poser and DAZ Studio. Try a program like Houdini, then you'll really understand what complicated is really all about! ;)
