Incidently, I've had no problem editing CR2s on my Mac in the dreaded MS Word (Curse you Bill Gates!). Once you save them they are text files, of course, but a trip back through MacConverter fixes that. I often use it on my PC too, it opens and saves even the largest CR2 very quickly, and is very fast for search and replace.
