But wait most of us get paid on Friday. Will this last until friday for sure? Expiring at midnight system time? I need to know.
I just paid the Dish bill, and that means no dinero until then.

Thanks, Kristi! I have another question - hope it's ok to ask here. I noticed there was a vendor who is advertising an item that is "available for 30 days at the incredible price of $3.50 for the Renderosity Prime Members"
Am I understanding correctly that this means the items that are "prime" items will only be that price for a limited time? Or is the prime price a permanent price for prime members??
Cheers,

I can answer this one :) There are two different types of products in the Prime club, the new ones and those that were already in the marketplace for at least 60 days, which Rendo refers to as Vintage products. The vintage products will remain in the club for only 30 days and then they will be removed, all new products will remain at club prices for the life of teh club. Every Vendor that puts a new product in the club is allowed to also select one of their older products to put in the cluib for 30 days.
So yes some of the content will be gone in 30 days but it will be replaced by new products and new vintage products. I believe that Renderosity is working on a system to make the difference between the two kinds obvious.
Hope this helps some!

Thanks for the info!
That's rather confusing, since the vendor may know which ones are vintage and which aren't, but customers don't.
So vendors can rotate vintage items into and out of the club for 30 day periods? Yikes! Rendo HAS to come up with a way to distinguish these 2 types AND make it crystal clear when each "temporary" club item's sale ends.
Unfortunately, this whole thing of putting the EXACT day that sale items end has been an issue with Rendo, and I find it incredibly frustrating.

Now I'm just offering an opinion, but... since I just got the e-mail yesterday late, and many others may not get an opportunity to see their e-mail til like last night or this am, that the intro sale price stay valid for 10 days (*personally I think 30 days is a good offer).
I assume the purpose of the Prime Club (*coincidence PC?) is to SELL and since it is being introduced into existance during a bad economy, and low sales, RO would want to get as many members involved as possible for a fair price, and make it available to as many as it can. IMVHO this would not be the time to be greedy or freeze out your customer base. Not to mention I have not heard of a monythly membership offered. That is something that should be considered, since I would not plop out $99.00 for anything right now.
I think I have stated it fairly.

Vendors are allowed 1 new Prime product per month and when they upload that product they are allowed to choose 1 vintage product so a vendors vinateg product will expire after 30 days and hopefully be replaced shortly there after by another vintage product by that particular vendor (provided that vendor has uploaded a new prime product to be ready at the end of those 30 days)
I agree that while vendors will know their own vintage products many customers (myself included) will not know which products are vintage and therefre only valid at that price for a short period of time, but it is my understanding that Renderosity is aware of the concerns about this (as vendors too are concerned about there being no way to tell the difference) and that they are working on it. I think even a different colored Prime banner on it would work, like leaving the actual Prime products with a blue banner and making the vintage ones say red, so that people could easily tell which is which.

Why is there only a few vendors in the "prime section"? why are not all vendors given a chance to be in the group? I have some wish list products I'd like but none of the vendors I want are in the list. Are these just the first month or how will you choose the vendors?
Seems like just favorite ones will be benefited and others will be left out??
Just curious...........

That seems to me to be very important ;-> Not to mention specifying ON THE PRODUCT PAGE the exact date that the temporary prime items expire.
