OK. So we know that the URL of the images works, and a browser can retrieve them from Poser's application server.

Now it appears that the library GUI is not being allowed to read them. I suspect that this is a Flash "trusted application" problem.

Flash applications that are in the local sandbox are not allowed to go to any network address, even a local one, unless they are identified as trusted. I don't know why. This is a really stupid rule. I'm wondering if a change in the OS has caused the mechanism of trusted app identification to be different than it used to be, or to fail to work.

I was Googling to see if anything had been written about Flash trusted applications being somehow different or broken in Lion but I didn't find anything. What I did find is that application preferences are now a bit more hidden or protected than they used to be. I don't really know enough to say anything smart about this.

Anybody else got anything to add on this particular topic?

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
