The problem isn't with your runtime.  You don't need to remove or uninstall it.  To fix this problem, all you need to do is this:

  1. Use windows ADD/REMOVE software - remove Adobe Air

  2. Reboot your system

  3. Download and install Adobe Air 2.6 version from here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/853/cpsid_85304.html

  4. Restart Poser after Air is successfully installed.

  5. Last but not least, archive this installer program in case Adobe pulls it down later as it may take a while for SM to issue a patch for this problem.  And you might also want to send them a "thank you" for issuing updates that download without your approval and for tinkering with their plugins without concern for how it might affect other dependent software...oh, and for freaking me the crap out.

And just to clarify, if this happens to your Runtime/Library - there's nothing wrong wit it.  The problem lies with the way new Adobe Air plugins [which downloaded to your system automatically without your knowledge] are working with Poser Library program.  Air is what enables the library program to operate externally or aside from Poser's main program.  In other words, to simplify it, Poser and Poser Library are two separate programs that run at the same time on your system and either can operate independent of the other...or work together.  Air is the plugin, sort of, that makes the Library program work on it's own.  Air has been altered last week, and it now causes the Library program to display file names screwy.  But the Library program and the Runtime directories and files associated with it are not damaged and there is nothing wrong with them in any way.

Just uninstall the new air...and reinstall an older version and all will work again.

If you've already uninstalled a runtime directory, it's not contaminated or damaged and you should be able to reinstall it just fine.
