Honestly, no one can really give you an answer. P9/PPro2012 isn't out until the 20th of September, but you can see what it can do over at RDNA (and here and all over the net once the NDA has expired). DS4 may be 'out', but it is incomplete. Plugins either do not exist or have not been updated and released yet.
The Genesis mesh is not Poser compatible....as in you can not do the full body morphing in Poser. You can, however, do it in DS, then export using their Cr2 exporter, and using the already morphed figure in Poser. At least that is the claim. No one really knows how well it will work until we have both apps in hand....and at least when Poser 9 comes out, it will be complete and ready to go. I would also suggest looking at the Genesis morph packs and doing a little addition, just to see how much $$$ you might be sinking into it. Those same price ranges are a good benchmark when you start considering what -content- other than morphs (which you seem to have covered with Zbrush) might cost.
If you've looked at the posts by the beta testers, there are already plans underway to weightmap and distribute same for a lot of the existing Poser characters (without running afoul of anyone's IP). Content creators can still create for bloody Poser 4 and it will work in all versions after that. And most of DS's versions. But the Genesis creators will have to fork out $$$$ for the CCT kit; Poser developers just have to have Poser (well, in this case Ppro 2012, and regular P9 doesn't have some of the tools the big app has). The diverging tech is going to force just that; divergence. Where it shakes out nobody can even guess; but I would think that the Poser market is simply too much of Daz's income to just toss it aside. Particularly in this economic climate. With 15 years of content to retrofit, Poser is in the better position, imho. And it is a more complete solution right out of the box.
