Silo does appear to be reasonably stable on this machine (surprise-surprise :woot:) so I might use it from time to time. It does have its uses. The interface is annoyingly different from Blender's, which I'm quite intuitively accustomed to now. Until we've got BMesh in Blender, I think that Silo will have a leg up on that incredible app (but according to my BlenderNation updates we're not far off) - closer than "Daz-soon", at any rate :lol: but my heart will always remain with Blender.

To each his own. I can see myself doing a bit in both. Wish there was a Silo forum on here... we could use one. People whinge about Blender's interface... dunno. Once you've been Blender-ised, you wonder why all apps don't work like Blender. Seriously, it's true! :biggrin:

ETA: oh, thank, Alex. I actually signed up with BlenderCookie - got a subscription to the site. I just wish their tutes came as pdfs as well - videos move so fast for this greying grey-matter and it's hard to go back... "say wha????" or bookmark for future reference.
