What I'm seeing on the non-zoomed image is the classic look you get if you take a low res image and then enlarge it. You end up with pixilation around the edges, less than smooth colour blocks, and a general lack of sharpness. It could be a money saving thing, which is totally understandable, as I know Picasa and Webshots also famously show lower quality jpegs to save bandwidth. Flickr also reduce the quality unless you pay a subscription, but they do run a sharpening algorithm on the lesser quality jpegs...rightly or wrongly. I have had several members raise the point with me so I thought I would mention it here. I must say that IMHO, Rendo is still a very good service.
