Kara’s parents got feedback from their friends and family members as what would be the best gift for Kara.  One of the their neighbor’s had a beautiful parrot and thought a parrot would be the perfect gift.  Parrot are intelligent, entertaining and they could learn to talk.   Kara’s parents agreed with the neighbor that parrots were wonderful, but felt that those claws and beak might be too much for a girl of eight.  Perhaps when she got older they would reconsider and so they …
