Quote - I was wondering, if anyone knows the legal part of selling your art work. I am nearly finished with my short story and am working on the cover, and wanted to know is it ok to mention each and every vendors items I have used in my render to create the cover? I do not want to get into any trouble. Also do I inform the vendor that I have used the items in my cover? I have spent hundreds of dollars on backgrounds V4 clothing and so much more...One more thing I would love to sell my art in frames also. Does anyone know of any sites which do the frame work and such?

Thank you in advance for all information

zazzle.com

imagekind.com

cafepress.com

These sites will sell and ship your prints.  CafePress charges a monthly fee.  I used cafepress before but the monthly fee is a killer when a month goes buy without any sales.   These sites are good if you don't want to bother with the shipping or return, and they provide everything you need such as framing and putting your art on things other than just wall hangings.

The best way (from what I hear) is to partner with your local print shop, preferably something smaller, where you can work out a deal for a lower price such as allowing the print shop to make money from your prints as well. I don't know how well this works but from what I hear it allows you to sell your art for less (like as cheap as $8 per print), which puts you in to the competitive range of the massive number of $2 poster art.

It also makes it easier to keep cost lower for framed art (so I was told).
