Couldn't care really on that front... when I run the DAZ installer, it gives me the option of "Poser(All Files)" and asks where I want to dump the contents... naturally, that'd be the dump folder.

The only real diff is that unzipping a file is built into the Windows UI now, while running an .exe is not. The time difference is about 30-45 seconds on my particular machine.
