Great clouds, wish we had more clouds here in so-cal. Boring blue skies gets old after years.

 

You might want to try HDRI imaging, it brings phenomenal structure out of these. See my brother's videos and slideshows, there's always a lot on clouds, he loves clouds when he chases tornados, but he hates them when chasing solar eclipses. Talk about bipolarity .... and he's my twin!

I think he uses PhotoMagic, a very popular imaging tool you can also find for free trial at download.com but go to the source if you can.

 

He's got a digital camera with auto bracketing, so a single shot causes 3 pictures to be taken rapidly in sequnce, on with normal exposure, then one with -2 and another with +2 on the aperture. That way you have 3 pictures, in Raw format each, to combine into an amazing dynamic range. And that proggy makes it fun. You can also do the same with Project Dogwaffle, in layers that are combined in various modes such as screen mode, additive mode, multply mode etc... at various weight levels.  It's fascinating what comes out of such experiments at times.
