No I don't think it does. There is a copy of every actor in its morphed/posed/translated/rotated/scaled state.

What I was referring to was that the information (about the base OBJ and base morph deltas) is kept once per OBJ or PMD file - in a lookup table for each such file. When props or figures are instantiated these referenced files are reused.

Not so when the geometry is buried in a prop file - then Poser makes the assumption that each time you load the prop, it needs a fresh copy of the base geometry. I don't know why. Seems a filename and timestamp would work about the same as a referenced OBJ file.


Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
