That's an important question, for the effort involved in saving the memory of something trivial is probably unjustified. Your typical prop is pretty small - and almost never loaded twice, let alone dozens of times.
But - still. If it were a bar glass, or something similar, that gets replicated even in a real life setting, then maybe it's worth it.
Blades of grass - absolutely worth it. Which is why it's so important in general, but not so much to the NVIATWAS crowd.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
