originalkitten is right, the tattoos where taken from flash and used without permission of the artist(s). Flash (a term for tattoo sketches) is artwork like any other painting and, even as a tattoo artist, you have to buy them or they are traded (the artists swap their flash or give them away to collegues as a gift), some are made exclusivly for one customer or an artist keeps them for himself and his customers. However: Even making or getting a copy of a tattoo (that's already in the skin) published in a magazine is considered unethical as long as we do not talk about classic motives like the "Mom & Dad heart" or such. Flash printed in a magazine can freely be used - but only for tattoos.

The fact that at least one of the figures was covered with skulls by Paul Booth made me suspicious as soon as I saw it for the first time...

I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!
