Like the RingsLL figure, the Cherry_Rings_AP is something of an experiment, and a rather unusual way to implement earrings. It places all the controls for posing the rings and changing the geometry in the BODY actor. The figure consists of 15 actors in total, but only the BODY is selectable in the document window, or visible in the menus. Hiding most of the actors from selection has obvious advantages for a conforming figure, you don't accidentally select part of the conformer when you are trying to select part of the character. On the other hand this certainly won't suit people who's main style of working is to to use the mouse cursor in the Document Window. That style of working directly with the cursor and Editing Tools in the Document Window is something that is often disparaged, but I find it is something that I am doing much more of these days.
Anyway, I would be very interested to hear your opinions on all of this.
I should add that whilst the Cherry_Rings must always remain a freebie, I very much encourage you to distribute modified versions by replacing the geometry with your own geometry files. Also the prohibition on selling the actual files in the distribution is in no way meant to discourage you from using the same techniques in commercial products of your own.
