Hi Ray,

sorry for the delay but I am knee deep in modeling cars and do do post here as much as I should.

The short answer is buy the product that you want to use it for. Vue for Vue Poser for Poser.

Example.

If you load a city block set which on average have more than 300 materials in them many with individual texture maps, then there would be a huge amount of work on the textures.

If you have nothing but a lot of time and i do mean a lot, then feel free to try your hand at going from Poser to Vue.

As I do not like the export system in Vue I would not reccomend going from Vue to Poser.

Also there is alway the two different ways tht each program determines scale.

So with out you having to use a Vulcan mind meld on me ( which I do not reccomend, as my head can be a scary place) It would take me a very long time to explain how to go about this question you have proposed.

So back to the original question.

Buy Poser for Poser and Vue for Vue,

unless you are very savey at both nprograms.

Hope this helps you somehow.

Now back to my 1937 Buick special.

Here is an early test render done in Vue with an HDRI lighting setup.

Some details might have changed sinse this image but very minor changes.

Thanks for your interest Ray! :-)

Regards, Tom
