Subject: Is there a way to lock one frame?

MikeMoss ( ) posted Thu, 03 November 2011 at 12:34 PM · edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 5:23 AM

Hi

I do pretty much all animations that are done in segments of anywhere from 500 to 4000 frames.

The problem I keep running into is that the first and last frames keep changing slightly.

Some times it's just the hair moving a little or the angle of the head changes just a bit.

I start each segment from the last frame of the previous segment and I have learned that if I save the frame as a pose I can usually restore it to the original setting when it gets changed but... Not always.

It would be really nice if I could lock the first and last frame of a segment to that no matter what I do tweaking the animation these two frames would never, ever change.

Then the segments would always sync no matter how much I mess around with them.

Anyone have any ideas?

Mike

If you shoot a mime, do you need a silencer?

and change their interpolation to constant they will turn from green or orange to white.

Hi Wolf359

Thanks for the information.

I'll try that, I'm starting a new animation tomorrow.

That will be a big help, I spend a lot of time matching all the clips up when I start editing.
