Quote - I'm not sure if its the weightmapping that makes it easier to convert.. but I have never had such an easy time converting clothing than with Antonia~WM.
It is, Meatsim. This is a main driver for the whole weightmapping thing. You do not need JCM's to get an acceptable result while still having the comfort of conforming clothing. The result of porting the base figure rigging can not match simulation with the right parameters and start conditions (i.e. one order of magitude above Poser's current Cloth room), but it does well enough in many cases. If more work is needed, you can change the mapping (Pro 2012 and above only), or add magnets and JCM's as before.
Will expect with time to see clothing base figures with bending distribution more appropriate to cloth, with reduced stretch and wrinkles instead of contraction. The good thing with Antonia is that these can be freely distributed including the associated geometry (the geometry contains an essential part of the weightmap information!). This is why the Creative Commons License structure of both Antonia's mesh and her WM rigging are paramount.
