I am running the 64 bit versioin of Vue 8 Complete because I've finally have a 64 bit version of Windows installed. After Vue Infinite 5, I'd always had trouble running out of memory in the 32 bit version of Vue on 32 bit Windows unless it was a very simple scene.
I reinstalled Poser 8 so that I can do direct Poser inports into Vue--and that works fine. I had recently upgraded to Poser Pro 2012 and tried a collada export to Vue, but the geometry was a little blocky and the Poser 8 import looked better and more consistent. I really don't like reposing in Vue, so I'll probably just import the Poser figure as a static figure and if I need to repose do it in Poser and update it.
Someday I hope to have Vue 10 Complete and then I can elliminate Poser 8 entirely.
