Honestly, that would only pose a problem in an animation.

For stlls, or semi toons as you do?
Once you have a good basic setup?
One hr max to make a new texture-displacement for each position.
You only have to redo the clothing.
And carfuly choose the new position.
It has no impact on the texture of the figure.
