It wasn't terminal.  Vue re-started with different display options.  I rolled it back, anyway. 

I've had occasional crashes with Vue 10 (Vue 9.5 has been more stable).  When I restart Vue 10 after a crash, it suggests I update my video drivers.  So when there finally were new video drivers to install, I thought it would help.  Guess not.
