^it may just be that people are used to getting a lot of spam. its not SO bad - not quite a horror story, heh - but yeah it is stressful. i mentioned to Rosity staff that perhaps another method of update notification would be better received by customers.
like on a mobile OS, when you have a little number icon beside your apps that need updating. you could log into rosity and there could be a little ticker somewhere on the page, or in your Sales page, that showed a feed of all the product updates relevant to your purchases. just like the PM notification, there could be another icon somewhere showing 'you have updates'.
it would also ensure that more people got the updates. i get a lot of undeliverables, and sometimes those annoying 'fill out this form to be allowed past my spam filter' -- which i actually do fill out, though half the time it doesnt work.
